Inversions is an auditioned group of singers from Grades 11 & 12. This group focuses on performances of Jazz and contemporary styles, and subscribes to the provincially approved Vocal Jazz curriculum. The group performs frequently, at a variety of functions. Group members must be available to perform at the Winter & Spring Concerts, the Jazz Café, Vocal Jazz Workshop, and Brandon Jazz Festival. Students in this group are animated, energetic performers, who can learn music quickly and can sing independently.

Listening Logs #1 & #2 are due on or before February 2nd.
*Jazz Band kids do not have to do the 2nd log, as their jazz band log will count in place of #2. (Find the papers on the main vocal jazz page)
Inversions students will select their solo standard for Jazz Café during the 1st week of Semester 2. We will pick a date and start preparing for Jazz Café, arranging rehearsals with Urichuk and then with the band.
(Resources for selecting a standard can be found below!)
